Q1. What's the point of Palworld?

The point of Palworld is open-ended survival and progression: explore the Palpagos Islands, catch and train creatures called Pals, build automated bases, craft better gear and technology, defeat powerful tower bosses and raid bosses, and breed stronger Pals. There is no single win condition — you set your own goals, whether that's completing your Paldeck, beating every boss, or running the most efficient base.

Q2. What is Palworld all about?

Palworld is an open-world survival and creature-collection game by Pocketpair, often described as "Pokémon with guns". You wash up on the Palpagos Islands, capture over 100 species of Pals, put them to work at your base, ride them as mounts, and fight alongside them in battles against wild Pals, hostile factions like the Rayne Syndicate, and giant alpha bosses. It blends monster collecting with survival crafting, base automation and co-op multiplayer.

Q3. Is Palworld like Minecraft?

Palworld shares some DNA with Minecraft — survival mechanics, gathering resources, crafting, hunger management and base building — but it is not a block-based voxel game. Its core loop centers on catching, battling, breeding and working creatures called Pals, closer to Pokémon or ARK: Survival Evolved than to Minecraft. If you enjoy building and crafting in Minecraft but want combat and creature collection on top, Palworld is a good fit.

Q4. Which game is a copy of Palworld?

No official clone of Palworld exists, though several unofficial knock-offs have appeared on mobile app stores. The more common comparison goes the other way: Palworld itself was widely accused of copying Pokémon due to its similar creature designs, and Nintendo and The Pokémon Company filed a patent-infringement lawsuit against developer Pocketpair in September 2024. Palworld also borrows survival mechanics popularized by games like ARK, Rust and Craftopia (also made by Pocketpair).

Q5. Is there a story in Palworld?

Yes, Palworld has a light storyline: you play a castaway stranded on the Palpagos Islands who gets entangled with the criminal Rayne Syndicate, challenges a series of tower bosses across the islands, and gradually uncovers the mystery behind the origin of Pals and the islands themselves. The story is told loosely through quests, notes and exploration rather than cutscenes — the game is designed as a sandbox first.

Q6. Is Palworld safe for kids?

Palworld is rated PEGI 12 in Europe and T for Teen (ESRB) in North America due to violence — you can attack cute creatures and human enemies with guns and other weapons, though there is no blood or gore. It also contains mild language. Main concerns for parents are the grim undertones (Pals working in factories, butchering for meat) and online multiplayer chat with strangers. Common Sense Media recommends it for ages 13+, and parental controls can limit multiplayer contact and screen time.

Q7. Is Palworld free to play?

No, Palworld is a buy-to-play premium game available on PC (Steam), Xbox, and PlayStation. However, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can access and play Palworld at no extra cost as part of their active subscription.

Q8. How do you get leather in Palworld?

Leather is obtained by defeating or capturing specific early-game Pals such as Foxparks, Eikthyrdeer, Direhowl, Melpaca, Chillet, and Fuack. You can also purchase leather directly from Wandering Merchants at human settlements.

Q9. How to get Ancient Civilization Cores in Palworld?

Ancient Civilization Cores are dropped by defeating or capturing Raid Bosses (such as Bellanoir, Bellanoir Libero, or Blazamut Ryu) summoned at a Summoning Altar in your base, or by clearing high-level oil rig strongholds and raid dungeons.

Q10. Can you play Palworld on mobile devices?

Palworld does not currently have a native mobile app release. However, you can play Palworld on iOS and Android devices by streaming the game via Xbox Cloud Gaming, Steam Link, or PlayStation Remote Play.

Q11. How do you get honey in Palworld?

Honey is obtained by capturing or defeating Beegarde, Cinnamoth, Elizabee, or Warsect. For a continuous supply, assign Beegarde to a Ranch at your base to farm honey automatically without spoiling.

Q12. How to get coal in Palworld?

Coal is mined from dark black ore deposits found in the Desert biome (around Twilight Dunes) and Mount Obsidian. You can also set up a mining base near coal clusters with Level 2+ Mining Pals (like Digtoise, Anubis, or Reptyro).

Q13. How to get Technology Points in Palworld?

Technology Points are earned automatically every time your player levels up, by unlocking Fast Travel Waypoints (+1 point each), and by consuming High-Grade Technical Manuals or Innovative Technical Manuals found in dungeon chests and supply drops.

Q14. How to get Jetragon by breeding in Palworld?

In Palworld, Jetragon can only be bred by pairing two parent Jetragons together (Jetragon + Jetragon). Because Jetragon is a legendary Pal, it cannot be produced by combining two different Pal species.

Q15. How do you catch Jetragon in Palworld?

Jetragon is a Level 50 Legendary Field Boss located in the Mount Obsidian volcanic region (around coordinates -789, -321). To catch Jetragon, use Ice-type counter Pals (like Frostallion), bring Legendary Spheres, and lower its HP while dodging its meteor attacks.

Q16. How to get Astegon from breeding in Palworld?

Astegon has over 100 breeding combinations, including reliable pairs like Jormuntide + Flaracle, Moldron + Lyleen, Ghangler + Hartalis, and Wumpo + Frostallion. You can also breed two parent Astegons together at a Breeding Farm.

Q18. How to increase breeding speed in Palworld?

Breeding speed is increased by reducing Egg Incubation time in World Settings, placing Electric Incubators near power sources, assigning Pals with the Philanthropist passive trait (+100% breeding speed), and ensuring a constant supply of Cake at the Breeding Farm.

Q19. How to get Anubis from breeding in Palworld?
