Boss Guide
Palworld Bosses: Order to Defeat and Locations
As you level up, advance your base, and explore the Palpagos Islands building up a strong team of Pals, you'll encounter powerful Palworld bosses that can be challenged inside a series of mysterious towers. As of Palworld's 1.0 release update, there are currently nine Palworld bosses in total to defeat, each one more formidable than the last. When you enter the tower, you have just 10 minutes to emerge victorious. Read on for details on where to find these Tower Bosses, which order to defeat them in, and what you can expect when you get there!

Palworld Boss Order
True to Palworld's freeform gameplay style, you can technically fight the Tower Bosses in any order you wish. However, based on overall difficulty (in normal mode), the best order to defeat the Palworld bosses is:
- Zoe & Grizzbolt — Level 10, Windswept Hills
- Lily & Lyleen — Level 20, Moonless Shore
- Axel & Orserk — Level 30, Mount Obsidian
- Marcus & Faleris — Level 40, Dessicated Desert
- Victor & Shadowbeak — Level 50, Astral Mountains
- Saya & Selyne — Level 55, Sakurajima Island
- Bjorn & Bastigor — Level 60, Feybreak Island
- Auri & Shaolong — Level 68, Sunreach
- Zenara & Astralym — Level 80, World Tree
Palworld Boss Locations
Palworld's Tower Bosses are scattered across the entirety of Palpagos, indicated by their unique tower icons on the world map (seen above). Each also has its own teleport statue, allowing you to travel to these towers easily whenever you feel up to the challenge.
Once you've successfully beaten the boss within a given tower, if you highlight the tower icon it will show the boss's avatar along the word 'Defeated'. However, you can challenge tower bosses as often as you wish.
Furthermore, as of the game's 1.0 release update, each Tower Boss also has a 'Hard Mode' difficulty that you can attempt for an even greater challenge along with new rewards such as Legendary Schematics and more.
Zoe & Grizzbolt Location

- Normal Mode Difficulty: Level 10
- Location: Windswept Hills area at (112, -431), northwest of Grassy Behemoth Hills
Zoe and her companion Grizzbolt are located in the Rayne Syndicate Tower in the Windswept Hills, not terribly far from where you start the game. This is the first boss you'll encounter in Palworld, because defeating her is one of the conditions for clearing the tutorial.
Grizzbolt is an Electric-type Pal, so keep that in mind when going to face off against her. Ground-type Pals will work best, while Water-type Pals should be avoided.
Lily & Lyleen Location

- Normal Mode Difficulty: Level 20
- Location: Moonless Shore at (37, -311), southeast of the Ancient Ritual Site
Lily and her companion Lyleen are located in the Free Pal Alliance Tower. This tower is located roughly north of the Rayne Syndicate Tower, just past the Windswept Hills and on the southern edge of the Moonless Shore.
Note that Lyleen is a Grass-type Pal, so bringing Fire-type Pals is your best bet here.
Axel & Orserk Location

- Normal Mode Difficulty: Level 30
- Location: Near the center of Mount Obsidian at (-590, -519), west of the Scorched Obsidian Watchtower
Axel and his companion Orserk are located in the Brothers of the Eternal Pyre Tower. This tower is located in the middle of Mount Obsidian and will require you to wear some kind of heat-protecting gear, such as the Heat Resistant Pelt Armor, for you to be able to withstand the temperatures that can otherwise chip away at your health.
Orserk is Axel's companion of choice and it's a Dragon/Electric-type Pal. As such, it's best to bring a Ground or an Ice-type Pal to counter it.
Marcus & Faleris Location

- Normal Mode Difficulty: Level 40
- Location: Southeast section of Dessicated Desert at (540, 335), north of the Desert Backbone area
Marcus and his flying companion Faleris are located in the Tower of the PIDF. This tower is located in the middle of the Dessicated Desert on the east side of Palpagos and will require you to wear some manner of heat-resistant gear. Note that temperatures swing to frigid there at night, so you may need to switch to something cold-resistant instead, depending on how long you're in the area.
Faleris is a Fire-type Pal, so bringing a Water-type Pal should be enough to counter it.
Victor & Shadowbeak Location

- Normal Mode Difficulty: Level 50
- Location: Astral Mountains at (-146, 447), southeast of the Land of Absolute Zero area
Victor and his companion Shadowbeak are located in the PAL Genetic Research Unit Tower in the Astral Mountains region in northern Palpagos. Note that venturing into the snowy mountains of this area will require you to wear some manner of cold-resistant gear (e.g. Cold-Resistant Pelt Armor) to be able to withstand the frigid climate.
Shadowbeak is a Dark-type Pal and is weak to Dragon-type Pals.
Saya & Selyne Location

- Normal Mode Difficulty: Level 55
- Location: Sakurajima Island at (-601, 216), northwest of the Sakurajima Watchtower
Introduced as part of the Sakurajima update, Saya & Selyne call the Moonflower Tower in the center of Sakurajima Island home. You'll find the precise location of the tower in the southern portion of the Dancing Sakura Shrine, which is a zone full of cherry blossom trees in the middle of the island.
Selyne is weak to Dragon-type Pals, so consider bringing along a Jetragon or Quivern to make quick work of the boss duo.
Bjorn & Bastigor Location

- Normal Mode Difficulty: Level 60
- Location: Feybreak Island at (-1293, -1670), on the southern edge of the island
Introduced with the game's Feybreak update, Bjorn and his fierce companion Bastigor live in the aptly named Feybreak Tower on the very southern edge of Feybreak Island. While there are no climate issues to worry about here, Feybreak Island is filled with anti-aircraft watchtowers who can shoot down any flying mount Pal with ease, so tread carefully when making your way here.
Bastigor is an Ice-type Pal, so some hefty Fire-type Pals will make quick work of him.
Auri & Shaolong Location

- Normal Mode Difficulty: Level 68
- Location: Sunreach at (-432, -1425), southeast of The Azure Tapestry teleport tower. You must power down all six shields before the tower can be accessed.
Auri and her companion Shaolong can be encountered inside the Azure Covenant Tower high in the skies of Sunreach. You must power down all six shields surrounding the tower before it can be accessed, which is done by interacting with the small pedestals scattered around Sunreach. They can be easily tracked by the bright light spires they emit.
Shaolong is a Water/Dragon-type Pal, so Electric and Ice-type Pals are your best bet here.
Zenara & Astralym Location

- Normal Mode Difficulty: Level 80
- Location: Sealed Sanctum in the World Tree at (-1994, 1350) on the west side of the region. Requires defeating all previous Tower Bosses first and then three more sub-bosses as part of the main quest.
Zenara and her mystical companion Astralym are located deep within the World Tree, which is essentially the endgame area of the main storyline. It's where you'll find many of the strongest Pals in the game, along with the most powerful boss of the bunch.
Note that you'll first need to defeat all previous tower bosses in Palpagos, and then the three sub-bosses found in three other locations around the World Tree before the barrier blocking the way inside the Sealed Sanctum will let you through.
Astralym does not have a set elemental weakness, so it's all about bringing your best possible Pals to this fight.
Tips For Beating Tower Bosses
Every tower fight gives you a strict 10-minute timer, so you can't win by attrition alone. Prepare before you enter:
- Bring food, repair your gear, and rest your Pals before you go in.
- Match your team to the boss's elemental weakness — a single correct counter can halve the fight time.
- Bosses can be rechallenged any time, so farm them for Legendary Schematics on Hard Mode.
- Pack heat-resistant or cold-resistant gear for towers in extreme biomes.
