How to Get Honey in Palworld

You'll need Honey for a variety of things in Palworld, but most crucially for Cake, which is required to breed Pals. This guide covers the best ways to get Honey in Palworld 1.0.

How to Get Honey

As of the 1.0 update, there are two primary ways to get Honey: assign certain Pals to a Ranch at your base, or collect it as a drop from defeating, capturing, or butchering Pals.

Defeat Pals That Drop Honey

A surefire way to collect Honey is by defeating and capturing Pals that offer it as a drop reward. As of 1.0, five Pals drop Honey, and nearly all of them spawn within the same region of the map:

Cinnamoth (No. 61): Found throughout the Moonless Shore region around (12, -265).
Beegarde (No. 67): Found on the west side of the Verdant Brook region around (124, -85), directly south of Frostbound Mountains.
Elizabee (No. 68): Found on the west side of the Verdant Brook region around (124, -85). Always spawns in small groups with Beegarde.
Warsect (No. 113): Found on the west side of the Verdant Brook region around (124, -85).
Warsect Terra (No. 113B): Found on Feybreak Island, in the northern section of the Loess Plains around (-904, -1268).

Use a Ranch to Farm Honey

If you want a much more consistent yield of Honey, building and maintaining a Ranch at your base is the best option. Note that only Beegarde has the work suitability to produce Honey in a Ranch.

Capture and place multiple Beegardes inside the Ranch to produce Honey even more consistently.

How to Catch Beegarde

Beegardes are usually found in teams of three near the Free PAL Alliance Tower, so you'll have to fight off the other two if you only want to capture one. These Pals can self-destruct, so your best bet is to catch them before they start initiating their self-destruct sequence.

Once captured, assign one as a worker at your base and toss it into a Ranch — it should start producing Honey right away.

How to Use Honey

As a food item, Honey is primarily used for certain foods and consumables in an Electric Kitchen or better:

Cake: 2 x Honey, 7 x Milk, 8 x Red Berries, 8 x Egg, 5 x Flour.
Vegetable Cake: 4 x Honey, 8 x Egg, 8 x Flour, 7 x Lettuce, 8 x Tomato.
Mushroom Cake: 2 x Honey, 5 x Mushroom, 8 x Egg, 5 x Flour, 3 x Cavern Mushroom.
