How to Get Leather | Palworld Guide

Leather is a Common material in Palworld 1.0, dropped when catching or defeating certain Pals — usually furry, animal-like Pals. It's primarily used for crafting armor and Pal items such as saddles for mounts. This guide explains how to get Leather and the best way to farm it.

Where to Find Leather

Leather can be obtained when catching, defeating, or butchering certain Pals, such as Foxparks, Fuack, Rooby, Vixy, Chillet, Univolt, Verdash, and Kelpsea, just to name a few.

You can also purchase Leather from Wandering Merchants in exchange for Gold, and generate it at your base using a Ranch.

Best Leather Farm Location

One of the best ways to get Leather quickly is to head to the Sea Breeze Archipelago Church or Sealed Realm of the Ardent waypoints:

Rushoar, Fuack, Direhowl, Eikthyrdeer, and Nitewing all spawn around the Sea Breeze Archipelago Church waypoint.
Fuack, Melpaca, and Direhowl all spawn around the Sealed Realm of the Ardent waypoint.

If you have Katress out, its partner skill increases drops from Neutral pals by 40%. Melpaca, Direhowl, and Eikthyrdeer are all Neutral, so you'll get even more drops while farming.

Throw a Surfent into your Ranch, and as long as it's happily grazing, it steadily drops 2-3 Leather per in-game day. This adds slow but dependable passive Leather generation to any of your bases.
